KXTV Channel 10 Special Segment on Solano County hosted by News 10 Anchor Dick Cable in 1987. A look inside the Suisun Bay Mothball Fleet of old battleships. Most of these ships were used in World War II as well as in Vietnam. The ships were called "Victory Ships" and were used mostly for troop and cargo transports. The Glomar Explorer was highlighted for being used in an effort to retrieve a sunken Soviet Submarine and for being formerly owned by Howard Hughes. Interviewed Guests Included: Orville Valdez. Dan Adams from News 10 hosted the segment.
